The Story Behind SongGifter

SongGifter started from a simple frustration: the best gifts are the ones no one else could give, and most of us are terrible at making those. We can buy things. We're much worse at making something that could only exist for one specific person.

A song made from someone's real story does that automatically. It can't be regifted, it can't be found in a catalog, and it can't be replicated for anyone else — because it's built entirely out of details that belong to one relationship.

What we believe about gifting

• The thought that counts is specificity, not price
• You shouldn't have to be a musician to give someone a song
• You should hear the whole thing before you're asked to pay for it
• A gift page should feel like unwrapping something, not downloading a file

That last point shaped a lot of how SongGifter works. We didn't want this to feel like generating a file — we wanted it to feel like giving a gift, from the moment you type in a memory to the moment the recipient presses play on their own page.

How it actually works

You tell us the story — a memory, an inside joke, the details only you would know. We write lyrics from that story and produce a full track, usually within a couple of minutes. You hear the entire song before paying anything. If it's right, you download it and get a shareable gift page built around it.
